Sungrow Secures Another Major Energy Storage System Order
According to international media reports on June 1, Sungrow has signed a battery energy storage system (BESS) supply agreement with Spanish independent power producer (IPP) Sonnedix to provide 643.8MWh of its PowerTitan 2.0 energy storage system for the Librillo Battery Energy Storage Project in Chile. The partnership was officially announced on May 28.
The Librillo BESS project will feature a five-hour duration energy storage system. Equipment delivery and on-site installation are scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2027.
Sungrow launched its PowerTitan 2.0 energy storage system in 2024, offering 5MWh of capacity in a standard 20-foot container. In June 2025, the company introduced the next-generation PowerTitan 3.0, with the Plus version delivering 12.5MWh per 20-foot container and an energy density exceeding 500kWh/m².
Last month, Sungrow also announced a landmark order in the Middle East, securing a 7.5GWh contract with international renewable energy company Masdar. Under the agreement, Sungrow will supply 7.5GWh of PowerTitan 3.0 liquid-cooled battery energy storage systems and 2.6GW of inverters for Masdar's RTC 1 Plant (North) project in the United Arab Emirates.
Driven by its flagship PowerTitan 2.0 and PowerTitan 3.0 product platforms, Sungrow continues to expand its presence in large-scale energy storage projects across the Middle East and Latin America.
