7 GWh! Cell Leader Secures More Major Energy Storage Orders

In July 2026, CATL signed agreements successively with Alfen N.V., a European new energy integrator, and Solarpro, a leading renewable energy company in Eastern Europe, reaching a combined 7 GWh of sodium-ion storage cooperation. The TENER sodium-ion energy storage systems will be deployed across Western and Central & Eastern Europe.

 

5 GWh Order for Western Europe

On July 16, CATL announced that it had recently signed a memorandum of understanding with Alfen N.V., a leading European new energy integrator. Starting in 2027, the two parties plan to deploy 5 GWh of TENER sodium-ion energy storage systems in Western European countries including the Netherlands.

2 GWh Order for Central & Eastern Europe

On July 21, CATL announced a 2 GWh TENER sodium-ion energy storage cooperation agreement with Solarpro, a leading renewable energy company in Eastern Europe. The two parties plan to jointly deploy the first large-scale sodium-ion energy storage project in Central & Eastern Europe within the year, accelerating the full deployment of next-generation storage technology across Europe.
