500MWh! Sungrow Secures Major Energy Storage Order in Southeast Asia

July 8, 2026 – Philippine renewable energy developer Berde Renewables has signed a Master Framework Agreement with Sungrow and its regional distributor Solar Hive to procure a total of 200MW of photovoltaic (PV) inverters and 500MWh of battery energy storage systems (BESS) over the next three years. The equipment will be deployed in commercial and industrial (C&I) clean energy projects across the Philippines and Thailand.

Under the agreement, the three parties will establish a comprehensive strategic partnership covering technology supply, market distribution, after-sales services, and capital collaboration. Berde Renewables will gain access to Sungrow's integrated portfolio of PV inverters, battery energy storage systems, EV charging solutions, and smart energy technologies.

As the regional distribution partner, Solar Hive will provide logistics, spare parts supply, technical support, and end-to-end after-sales services for projects in both countries. In addition, the three companies plan to deepen cooperation in technical training and certification, joint market development, and stakeholder engagement, while exploring opportunities for co-investment and supplier financing for selected projects.
