1.5GWh! Chinese Energy Storage Company Launches Its First Overseas BESS Manufacturing Facility in Brazil
June 13, 2026 – Yunda Energy Technology Group recently held the inauguration ceremony for its energy storage manufacturing facility in Camaçari, Bahia, Brazil, marking the official launch of the company's first overseas battery energy storage system (BESS) production base.
The ceremony was attended by Bahia State Governor Jerônimo Rodrigues, Chairman of Zhejiang Provincial Electromechanical Group Sun Zhejun, and Chairman of Yunda Energy Technology Group Chen Qi, who jointly witnessed the opening of the milestone project.
Located in the Camaçari Industrial Park in Bahia State, the facility is Yunda's first overseas BESS manufacturing plant and has a planned annual production capacity of 1.5GWh.
The factory will focus on the assembly, integration, testing, and commissioning of battery energy storage systems, serving the rapidly growing demand for energy storage solutions across Brazil and Latin America.
Once operational, the facility will significantly enhance Yunda's localized manufacturing and service capabilities in the region, enabling the company to provide more efficient, reliable energy storage products and integrated energy solutions to the Latin American renewable energy market.
